About the award

QinetiQ’s values of Integrity, Collaboration and Performance are the foundation of our business.

This award seeks to recognise the critical part these values play in innovation. The award will consist of one first prize of $5,000.

The award is open to final-year student project teams participating in the 2021 Endeavour Engineering & IT Exhibition from any department.

Judging criteria

  • How the project team has demonstrated Integrity, Collaboration and Performance in the delivery of their project.
  • The innovation driven by these values, and its potential to deliver advantage for an end-user
  • Prize application and Endeavour exhibition display presentation quality.

Teams should include some representative screenshots of their work in an appendix to their application.

The expectation is that the application material can mostly be drawn from capstone subject reports.

Finalists announced

QinetiQ selects and confirm 3–5 project groups as finalists. Announcement will be made to project groups.

Monday 4 October – Friday 15 October 2021
Judging period begins

Short-listed project teams will ‘pitch’ their project in a short presentation to the judging panel via Zoom during this pitching period.

The judging process is limited to a maximum of 15-minutes for each project group. Each project group will be asked to deliver the following:

  • 3-minute introduction of team members
  • 3-minute project pitch
  • 5-minute Q&A to respond to your questions
