Hosted by the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT), members of the public, industry and government are encouraged to attend. Endeavour showcases our final-year engineering and IT masters students' projects, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet the next generation of engineers and IT professionals.

Throughout the year, our students work in collaboration with government and industry on these projects to solve real-world challenges. The Endeavour Exhibition Semester 2 showcases these projects, offering a unique opportunity for our students to demonstrate their engineering and IT capabilities.
With more than 150 diverse engineering and IT projects on display, members of the public, industry and current students are invited to attend.
How everyone can get involved in 2023
We welcome the public to play a special part in Endeavour and help us select the winners of the People’s Choice Award.
Winners of all Endeavour awards will be presented at the Endeavour Exhibition Semester 2 Awards Night on Wednesday 18 October.
Vote for the Endeavour ‘People’s Choice’ award
Nominate your favourite project at the exhibition for the Endeavour ‘People’s Choice’ award. Voting will take place during the Endeavour Exhibition, Wednesday 18 October.
Winners of all Endeavour awards will be presented at the Endeavour Awards Night at 7:30pm AEDT, Wednesday 18 October.

Thank you to everyone who attended the semester 2, 2023 exhibition. Our in-person event in October was a showcase with live demonstrations and an exciting display of student work.

Endeavour briefings and workshops
Endeavour workshops provide you with the opportunity to gain advice and boost your professional skills, focusing on posters, risk assessment, and presentation skills.
Please note that dates and times are subject to change.
Endeavour Information Session
Wednesday 2 August, 4:00pm
This is a briefing session to run students through everything they need to know about participating in the Endeavour Exhibition Semester 2. There will be time for a Q&A with the Events Team to answer any questions you might have.
Poster design workshop
Tuesday 15 August, 3:00pm – 4:00pm
This workshop will assist your team in developing your project poster. You will have the opportunity to gain tips and advice for creating an effective and engaging poster that will help boost your marks and attract more attendees to your booth.
Pitching Workshop
Wednesday 24 August, 1:30pm – 3:00pm
This workshop will teach your project group how to:
- Engage with a general public, in-person audience in an exhibition setting
- How to ‘sell’ your project to industry members
- How to prepare a pitch
Risk management workshop
Wednesday 30 August, 3:00pm – 4:00pm
This workshop is to assist you in gaining a better understanding of risk and the risk matrix, how to conduct your risk assessment and how to fill out the form for your project group. It is compulsory for every group to submit a risk assessment that covers the risks of exhibiting.
Prizes and awards
Endeavour project students will be eligible for one or more of the prizes and awards presented at our Endeavour Awards Night.
Endeavour Awards Night
Participating project students are encouraged to attend the Endeavour Awards Night. Hosted on the evening of the Endeavour Exhibition Semester 2, the awards night presents winners for Departmental Awards, Industry Awards and People’s Choice Awards. There will be light canapes, refreshments and live music for students to celebrate the wrap up of their project.
Volunteer
Engineering & IT students who are not in their final year are invited to participate in our volunteering program. Gain extracurricular experience, network with industry members, and meet some of the University of Melbourne’s senior academics.

Endeavour is the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology FEIT’s celebration of student innovation and thinking and has grown to be one of the largest annual events held at the University of Melbourne.
The event exhibits over 150 graduate group projects, showcasing the students' approach to engineering and IT challenges of today to create a smarter future.
Since the inception of Endeavour in 2010 it has drawn visitors from industry, high schools, the media and the general public. The exhibition continues to attract both undergraduate and graduate students in attendance to view the inspiring creations from their peers.
